General Contestant Information
It's time for all Chorus and Quartet Contestants to complete and send in their Contest Entry Forms.
Area 2 Contestants, please complete and submit the online Contest Entry Form--quartet form HAR-061 or chorus form HAR-063.
Mixed Harmony Ensembles, please follow the instructions here.
Contest Entry forms must be postmarked no later than February 12, 2024, in order to be a part of the initial draw for the Order of Appearance for either the Quartet or Chorus Contest. If you miss this date, a late fee will be assessed, and you will sing first in the applicable contest. In order to compete, your late entry must be postmarked no later than March 13, 2024.
The contests will be held in the Grand Ballroom at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel & Conference Center, 1657 Worcester Road (Route 9), Framingham, Massachusetts 01701.
A 44’ wide x 24’ deep, raised stage (24” off the floor) will be built and sound equipment will be brought in to the Grand Ballroom.
Please note that there will be no curtain for the chorus contest. There will be a background drape for both contests. There will be an entry ramp on stage right and stairs to exit on stage left. All choruses will use the ramp to enter the stage and will exit using the stairs. Individuals needing to use the ramp to exit may do so. Quartet entry and exit to and from the stage may be from either side.
The Stage Manager will not touch any motorized mobility devices brought to the backstage area. Each chapter is responsible for providing an escort on/off the stage for any person using a mobility device, if needed.

The contest pattern for the Quartet Contest starts outside the elevator on the lower level. The main pathway follows the blue lines and arrows. If you need to use the elevator, divert at the staircase and follow the lavender dotted lines.

The contest pattern for the Chorus Contest starts in your chorus' assigned room on the lower level. Follow the dotted blue lines to the staircase outside the Ashland room. The routes meet up there to go up the stairs. Follow the blue lines and arrows to Commons I, the chorus photo room and holding area. If you need to use the elevator, follow the lavender dotted lines.

We encourage all contestants to NOT bring personal belongings with you in the contest pattern, as they will not be allowed backstage. If you must bring something, please make it lightweight and small; consolidate chorus belongings, etc. We will provide a location that will be monitored by volunteers. You can leave your belongings in this location before going on stage and pick them up after you compete.
All Evaluations will be held in assigned rooms on the Meeting Space – Lower Level. Choruses will have assigned rooms for the day on Saturday from 7 a.m. until chorus evaluation are completed. Evaluation schedules will be distributed onsite by the Panel Chair.
